Yuca is a Mayan themed planet added in the 2.2 Summer update. It is riddled with Ivory-related and Mayan themed structures and biomes, while also being inhabited by jungle and tribal themed mobs. It is somewhat hostile compared to most planets, as many of the mobs have the ability to throw items at the player and inflict heavy damage. Tourmaline imbued blocks are believed to occur at higher rates on Yuca than other plants.

While playing on adventure mode, it is possible to find Cryo portal chests on Yuca. As of version 3.0, Magmar portal chests can also be found as well.

Etymology

It is most likely named after the Yucatán region of Mexico, believed to be an important site for the ancient Maya. It is also thought that the Mayan people were the first to cultivate the yuca (cassava) plant 1400 years ago.

Getting to Yuca

When first starting the game, Yuca will be inaccessible to the player, unless the player has purchased the instant planets iAP. Yuca portals, as shown below, must be found on Alba before being able to first visit Yuca.
