Dirt is a type of natural block that appears across every in-game planet in various different types. Most plants are able to be grown on dirt, which can also be tilled with a hoe to plant crops. Shovels are the best tool for all types of dirt and most types encountered above ground can be mined with bare hands.
Terra
Brown Dirt
Brown Dirt is a common block found on the surface of Terra and in patches undergound. When broken, it will give Brown Dirt and can be put in a Mason Bench to make Compact Dirt. Grass will grow on Dirt on the surface or when there is a Torch directly above it.
Seth
Pale Purple Dirt
Found uncommonly in patches both on the surface and within the underground on Seth.
Mushy Green Dirt
Mushy Green Dirt is somewhat less common than Purple Dirt and occurs on and near the surface of Seth.
Dark Blue Dirt
Dark Blue Dirt occurs solely underground localized to caves, and requires a tool of iron or higher to break.
