This page is about the player's health. For the potion, see Health (potion).
The player's health is measured in hearts. If they all deplete, the player dies, so they are needed to be as full as possible at all times. Using Food and Healing Potions will restore a certain amount of health. By default, the maximum amount is 5 hearts, but some Armor and Accessories increase this.
The hearts are depleted when the character gets hurt. This is known as damage. This can happen in several ways:
- Getting hit by an aggressive mob (including their respective projectiles)
- Falling a distance
- Drowning
- Lava
- Acid (Acid rain)
- Blowing up from Explosives thrown by the player or enemies
- Suffocation
